As March is Women’s History Month in the United States, and March 8 is the Global Centenary of International Women’s Day, it’s an opportunity for paying even greater attention to the ongoing accomplishments and evolving needs of women and girls around the world.
IREX recognizes gender as a key component of successful and sustainable international development. Through our Gender Community of Practice, we are examining our experiences and refining our expertise in the best practices around gender mainstreaming.
Over the next few weeks, IREX will highlight some of the remarkable accomplishments of a few program participants and our work in the area of gender. Keep an eye out for stories about:
