Syria Justice and Accountability Center's Leader Honored

IREX congratulates Mohammad Al Abdullah, the Syria Justice and Accountability Center’s (SJAC) Executive Director, on his special recognition from the Society for International Development (SID) Washington Chapter at their annual conference. Al Abdullah was recognized for his leadership in promoting justice and accountability for Syria. "We are quite proud of Mohammad and his dedication to defending human rights for Syrians. He and the team he leads here and abroad well deserve the recognition of the international development community," said IREX President Bob Pearson.

Accepting the award Al Abdullah expressed his gratitude and reiterated his commitment to the struggle of the Syrian people. “This recognition is for Syria, not only for me. I am hopeful that this brings more attention to civil society work in Syria.”

IREX recently released this short documentary video that features Al Abdullah and his work entitled, "Justice for Syria."
