Muskie Holiday Reception

On December 13th, 2008 IREX Georgia organized a Holiday Reception honoring the Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program alumni of Georgia. Around 150 muskie program alumni and representatives of the US Embassy to Georgia and various educational organizations attended the event. In his remarks, US Ambassador Tefft stressed the importance of the program and the valuable contributions that Muskie alumni have made to Georgia. He hopes to see great things from the newly formed Muskie Alumni Association. On behalf of the Muskie alumni initiative group Davit Onoprishvili (Muskie ’94) and Andro Dadiani (Muskie’01) presented the newly revitalized Muskie Alumni Association which was originally created in 2004. A group of alumni met on a regular basis for 3 months to work on creating the Muskie Alumni Association of Georgia. Their presentations covered the main goals of the association, governance structure and other administrative and strategic issues. The association includes 107 members.
