IREX Seeking Selection Committee Members for 2013 Community Solutions Program

IREX is seeking qualified experts to serve on the 2013-2014 Community Solutions Program selection committee. The Community Solutions Program is a professional development program for the best and brightest global community leaders working to make positive, lasting change in their local communities.

Selection committee members will be responsible for evaluating program applicants and assessing their abilities to participate in the program. Chosen selection committee members will be assigned to read a series of program applications and/or conduct a series of interviews with program candidates. The selection process will begin with the reading phase in early November and conclude with the interview phase starting January, 2013.  Selection committee members will receive an honorarium for their service.

Ideal selection committee members will have experience working on community development initiatives domestically and/or internationally, working knowledge in one of the program’s four thematic areas (women and gender issues, transparency and accountability, environmental issues and/or tolerance and conflict resolution), and country-specific experience in one of the program’s 55 eligible countries.

·  Any restrictions on your participation (e.g. dates you will be unable to participate);

·  Your CV or resume; and,

·  Whether or not you are interested in serving as a Reader, Interviewer or both.
