IREX is very pleased to announce the launch of its new Center for Collaborative Technologies (CCT) to better serve our beneficiaries by enhancing our existing skill set in our seven focus areas of media, civil society, education, conflict resolution, youth, gender, and technology. The Center establishes autonomous space for the consolidation and sharing of our more than 15 years of ICT expertise, both across IREX as an organization and externally. The creation of the Center also builds on our work in the cross-cutting field of technology for development, which has highlighted the importance of technology innovation for IREX as an institution.
“I am pleased IREX will have the opportunity to leverage and elevate our expertise in technology through the Center.” said IREX President W. Robert Pearson.
In addition to the Center, IREX will look across the organization to combine the talents of our entire staff to work more collaboratively and to respond more effectively on projects that draw upon differing expertises. By integrating the technology component throughout, IREX recognizes the transformative effect of this rapidly developing field in all that we do. This new endeavor will allow us to better utilize our skills and more effectively manage programs in an era where solutions to development challenges call for the improved application of many related skills.
