IREX Celebrates International Education Week

IREX is working to make a better world through its efforts in the field of education. We are pleased to celebrate International Education Week as established by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education.

For more than 40 years IREX has supported the international exchange of scholarly research, training teachers, strengthening learning institutions, and developing relevant and engaging curricula.

IREX takes a cross cutting approach to education development using technology to connect classrooms and bringing gender inequality into focus through programs targeted at girls access to education and technology.

This semester IREX is supporting nearly 600 international undergraduate and graduate students at 97 colleges and universities in 38 states each contributing to global learning and international education at their institutions and in their communities through the Muskie, Global UGRAD-Eurasia, and Global UGRAD-Pakistan programs. IREX also currently serves more than 400 international and U.S. teachers in programs dedicated to strengthening their teaching skills, broadening their pedagogical methods, and internationalizing their curricula.
