IREX congratulates the winners of the Spring 2013 Global UGRAD-Pakistan program video competition, “Building Cultural Bridges.” Komal, studying at Endicott College and Hira, studying at Chatham University both won the grand prize for their outstanding videos showcasing their experiences at a U.S. college or university and what they have learned about American culture and how they have been able to share their own culture. Samiullah Khokhar, studying at the University of Kansas and Sidra Meo Rajput, studying at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, also received Honorable Mention for their excellent video submissions.
The videos, linked below, were selected for their creativity and clarity in demonstrating their unique and varied experiences as Cultural Ambassadors.
Komal, Hira, Samiullah and Sidra, along with their fellow participants who submitted videos, will return to Pakistan this spring and share their experience through these videos with their communities in their hometowns and college campuses.
The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program in Pakistan is a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State and is implemented by IREX.
