Alumni from Uzbekistan Reflect on Muskie Experience

Several 2008 Muskie fellows were profiled in a recent article on the website of the US Embassy in Uzbekistan. 

Saida Akbarova, Rustam Sapaev, Margarita Aksyonova, and Alisher Makhkamov studied in varied locations and programs but all four fellows identify a common theme of discovery when describing their fellowships.  Whether it was a community service project at the Minority AIDS Council or a substantial research initiative on renewable energy, the experiences that these alumni had in the US are leading to new opportunities for them at home in Uzbekistan.
