2011-2012 Global UGRAD Fellows Begin US Experience

143 young leaders from Eurasia and Central Asia arrived to begin academic and cultural fellowships at undergraduate institutions across the United States. Selected from among a large pool of applicants, Global UGRAD fellows spend an academic year studying at American universities and colleges, participating in cultural activities, as well as conducting community service and engaging in professional interships.
Following the program, the fellows return to their home countries to finish their studies, share the perspectives they gained while in the United States, and contribute to the development of their communities.
Global UGRAD in Eurasia and Central Asia is a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State. The Crimea UGRAD Program is a program of the United States of America through the Department of State Public Affairs Section in Kyiv, Ukraine.
