IREX is pleased to announce the recipients of the fall 2011 TEA and ILEP Alumni Small Grants competition. 20 alumni of the Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (TEA) and 11 alumni of the International Leaders in Education Program (ILEP) will receive funding to support their innovative small grant project ideas. |

IREX is pleased to announce the winners of the Fall 2011 Cultural Passport to America competition for the Global UGRAD-Pakistan program. Sonia (University of Arkansas), Maira (Eastern Washington University), Marbaila (Humboldt State University), and Durreshawar (SUNY-Plattsburgh) were selected as exemplary cultural ambassadors because of their participation in a diverse array of cultural events and their regular reflections through blog posts sharing their experiences. |

IREX extends its congratulations to the winners of the Fall 2011 Global UGRAD-Pakistan program video competition, “A Day in the Life of a Global UGRAD-Pakistan Fellow.” Hammad, studying at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and Hassan, studying at Arkansas State University, won for their outstanding videos showcasing their experiences at a U.S. college or university and what they have learned about American culture and values. |

Muskie program and Global UGRAD program alumni are among the winners of Open Your Eyes, a social advertising competition sponsored by the Soros Foundation Kazakhstan. As members of the Alumni Leaders League (ALL) of Kazakhstan, the alumni submitted the first-place video “Corruption is Dirt” and “Corruption and Prices,” winner of an audience award. |
