For the next several years the Rozhnyativ Centralized Library System in the Ivano-Frankivsk oblast of Ukraine can concentrate on providing services to patrons without worrying about financing operations. As a result of the recently adoped government program, the government will provide up to $36,000 to support implementation of the Library Internet Access Program in Rozhnyativ Raion.

US Scholar Photo Contest Winner-Maria Sonevystky

Congratulations to Maria Sonevystky, the winner of the 2010 US Scholar Photo Contest! Maria Sonevytsky was a 2008-2009 Individual Advanced Research Opportunities (IARO) fellow. Her research project was entitled "Civilizing Wilderness: Musical Practices as Political and Economic Resources in Contemporary Ukraine."
