IREX congratulates Sevinj Mammadova, February's International Exchange Alumni Member of the Month. The U.S. Department of State selected her from among a pool of more than one million Department-sponsored exchange program alumni for her recent work in education policy. In Azerbaijan she is serving as the head of Education Division at the country's Central Bank.She was once a participant of the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program and then the Muskie Program, both implemented by IREX. |

Universities and community colleges may now apply to host outstanding undergraduate students from Eurasia, Central Asia, Pakistan, Kosovo and Crimea during the 2013-2014 academic year. Applications are due Friday, March 29, 2013. |

This project is a partnership with the Namibia Library and Archives Service and is funded by the Millennium Challenge Account Namibia through its Compact with the U.S. Millennium Challenge Corporation. |

IREX is pleased to announce Mr. Fernando Barragan as its new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Barragan hails from Bolivia and most recently worked as Treasurer of Chemonics International. He started his international development career with Peace Corps in Bolivia and has served in long term international assignments in Egypt and El Salvador as well. He has an MBA from a joint program with the Harvard Institute for International Development and the Universidad Catolica Boliviana. |

The Teachers for Global Classrooms (TGC) Program is now accepting applications from qualified U.S. middle and high school teachers for professional development grant opportunity to internationalize teaching and learning in their classes. Today, IREX proudly presented a donation of $16,000 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington, DC (RMHC). The proceeds from the annual staff silent auction with matching funds from IREX will help improve the health and wellbeing of children and families in the local area. RMHC core programs include the Ronald McDonald Houses and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. |
