New Video: IREX Advancing Gender Equality March 8, 2013 IREX is pleased to launch a new video showcasing its work to advance gender equality. Released on International Women's Day, the video features men and women of IREX around the world in their own words answering the question, "How are you advancing the gender agenda?" U.S. Department of State Honors Education Policy Leader in Azerbaijan February 20, 2013 IREX congratulates Sevinj Mammadova, February's International Exchange Alumni Member of the Month. The U.S. Department of State selected her from among a pool of more than one million Department-sponsored exchange program alumni for her recent work in education policy. In Azerbaijan she is serving as the head of Education Division at the country's Central Bank.She was once a participant of the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program and then the Muskie Program, both implemented by IREX. IREX Welcomes New CFO January 29, 2013 IREX is pleased to announce Mr. Fernando Barragan as its new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Barragan hails from Bolivia and most recently worked as Treasurer of Chemonics International. He started his international development career with Peace Corps in Bolivia and has served in long term international assignments in Egypt and El Salvador as well. He has an MBA from a joint program with the Harvard Institute for International Development and the Universidad Catolica Boliviana.

IREX Gives Back to Ronald McDonald House Charities December 18, 2012 Today, IREX proudly presented a donation of $16,000 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington, DC (RMHC). The proceeds from the annual staff silent auction with matching funds from IREX will help improve the health and wellbeing of children and families in the local area. RMHC core programs include the Ronald McDonald Houses and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile.
