The Erbil Technical and Administrative Institute in Erbil, Iraq recently launched a new media center with the support of IREX. The center will allow for students to learn about new technologies, social media, and new media and how they can apply these tools to journalism and communications.

UNICEF and IREX have partnered to improve reporting on Children's rights in Iraq. Their joint efforts will improve the quality and quantity of news on issues affecting children and children's rights while also assisting children in having a voice through the production of information and stories by children.
