Center for Collaborative Technology

Technology facilitates access to vital information and news, strengthens engagement between citizens and government, informs a strong civil society, and underpins modern education.

Realizing technology’s full potential for advancing development goals requires listening to the priorities of those in need and designing appropriate, practical responses. IREX’s Center for Collaborative Technology is a fresh perspective on meeting these challenges, promoting technology to make real improvements in people’s lives by recognizing that technology tools alone are not a panacea. IREX provides technology services that:

• Build on human capital
• Focus on strengthening existing institutions
• Improve formal and informal education
• Broaden access to information for citizens and policymakers
