Basic education helps achieve sustained economic growth, provides the fundamental knowledge needed to address preventable diseases, teaches tolerance and respect, and is an effective tool against trafficking.

IREX’s basic education development projects work with students, educators, administrators, and communities to establish collaborative, comprehensive education systems. Projects focus on internationalizing classrooms, developing skills of educators and educational administrators, reforming curriculum, school community development, and establishing parent/teacher relationships.
