Application Instructions

Each EPS fellowship lasts one to two months and is determined in consultation with the host Embassy, Consulate or Mission. As part of the EPS fellowship, participants are provided with visa assistance, international roundtrip transportation, housing in the country of service, a monthly allowance for living expenses, and emergency evacuation insurance. EPS fellows work closely with Embassy/Mission staff and receive support from field offices in the region.

Eligibility

EPS applicants must have a graduate degree (PhD, MA, MD, MBA, MFA, MPA, MPH, MLIS, MS, JD) at the time of application and must be U.S. citizens.

 

Eligible countries for the 2012-13 EPS program include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine.  Specific information about available posts and topics of research for EPS is available in the most current EPS application.
