IREX begins administration of the Internet Access and Training Program (IATP), a landmark Internet program of the United States Information Agency. The program builds on IREX’s earlier experience with the Modems for Democracy program. Under IATP, IREX expands Internet access in the region, provides computer training, and offers professional seminars to program participants and alumni of US government programs.
